Hello Friends,
This Friday, “Midweek Crisis” is turning one! Toot-Toot! 🥳
It’s been an amazing year, and I’ve loved sharing good vibes through music with all of you. To celebrate this milestone, I want to take a moment to reflect on some accomplishments and the past.
When I started this newsletter, I had no idea if I would manage to keep posting every two weeks. But somehow I did it! I haven’t skipped an issue, even once. It's hard to believe that my little music newsletter has been around for an entire year! It feels like only yesterday that I was putting together the first issue, unsure of what the future would hold. It feels awesomely empowering to keep up with doing something so regularly and consistently 💪🔥.
I can't believe how fast time has flown by! It has been 27 issues of the MC so far. Some of them were about a whole music genre, a single artist (José González, Zdzisław Beksiński), or were a mixtape of a specific theme (bread & baked goods, dogs, Lovelee Dae, etc.). I've put together a list of my personal favorite issues of the "Midweek Crisis" to highlight some of them for those of you who might have missed it or are new here.

MC #2 - Wake Up Calls
I’m a cosmos-lover, so this one has a special place in my heart, as it features a playlist full of music that NASA astronauts had to listen to in space, to kick off their daily activities 👩🚀👨🚀🧑🚀.
MC #5 - Country Music Primer
I had so much fun writing this brief history of country music! 🤠 It was an excellent opportunity for me to learn more about the genre, discover many musical gems, and have many great discussions with my closest ones.
MC #10 - Synthwave Edition
It’s a long-form that covers the history of synthwave music, its subgenres, and special recommendations.
MC #12 - Covers
In this issue, I’ve told about my love-hate relationship with covers and shared a playlist with my all-time favorite ones. What is worth mentioning is that this playlist is regularly updated to this day.
MC #22 - Music From Ukraine
Slava Ukraini! 🇺🇦 is an issue that means a lot to me. I’m deeply devastated by the war that is still going on behind the borders of my country. Ukrainian people to this day are fighting for their freedom. With this issue, I wanted to bring awareness of what is happening there, tell how all of us can help, and show some fantastic, diverse music created in Ukraine.
MC #23 - Go through my old music players
time_capsule_unpacked.mp3 was an eye-opener for me 👀💡. After the un-famous Spotify outage in March, I began to think about my relationship with streaming services and checked if my old portable music devices still work. If you’re curious about what I found out, just click the button below.
MC #25 - code-theme
In this one, I shared my excitement about launching theCode.xyz - a place with code-themed posters, shipped worldwide 💻🎨🌐. The playlist here is inspired by code, computers, and data, and packed with mostly vocal-free, electronic music.

Gratitude
What I’m most grateful about is having such a loving and engaged audience. Thank you all for supporting me throughout this journey 🚀. Every 2 weeks, I send out a curated selection of the best music I've been listening to, along with some personal recommendations and thoughts. It's been an amazing way to connect with other music lovers and discover new artists. Through this community, here on Substack, I’ve connected and made friends with so many wonderful people. I just can’t get over it. Thank you for being here 🙏.
