Hey,
I hope this issue finds you well and rested, with your inner batteries loaded with the summer sun ☀️.
Let me know if you’ve been on vacation this year, or not. Go ahead and share some thoughts of yours:
This time we’re listening to a playlist inspired by an excellent soundtrack from one of Amazon Prime’s brilliant series - "A League Of Their Own".
I’ve just finished binge-watching this one. Inspired by a movie of the same name from 1992, it tells a story of a group of 1940s women who become a team of professional baseball players - the Rockford Peaches 🍑⚾️🧢🏟.
It’s a bit quirky, really funny, and moving. The characters are complex, the plot is engaging… and the soundtrack is fire 🔥. A lot of people accuse this show of lacking historical accuracy, and that the music used is from a different era. But I hadn’t realized it during watching and it didn’t bother me at all. I loved how Janis Joplin, Ike & Tina Turner, or Joan Jett & the Blackhearts turned the whole spiciness up 🌶🥵🎶.
I strongly recommend you to take a look at this show if you haven’t already.
Have a lovely day and enjoy the MC #35 playlist:
Yours,
Stygi
Will check it out. As to the music critics, some people do and others judge. I'm with the doers. And from a southern friend, Hello Summer :)
Just started watching A League Of Their Own and I'm really enjoying it so far!
