Weekly Report No. 6 š«”š¶š Christmas Edition
Broadcasting debut, Christmas MegaMix & a bunch of Christmas-themed music discoveries from this week. | MC #67
Hey, Hi, Hello!
This time Iām back with a Christmas Edition of the Weekly Report š. Iām aware that not every one of us here celebrates Christmas, but I want to send a big dose of good vibes and best wishes to all of us! Regardless of whether you celebrate this tradition or not, I hope that this time will be as pleasant as possible for you, full of respect for your own needs and boundaries. I wish you Holidays filled with the joy of being together with your closest ones and that you will also find some time to pamper yourself. May you slow down, take a conscious breath and exhale, let go of things that don't serve you, and make room for new āØ

This week we created a special Christmas Ho-Ho-Holidays MegaMix together with my husband
. We made it for his companyās internal Christmas broadcast event at Mixlr. As a platform that helps users to share quality live audio easily, they organize these annual xmas streamings for their team members to get into the Christmas spirit. How awesome is that?Co-hosting that debut broadcast with Tom felt i-n-c-r-e-d-i-b-l-e! š„ It happened on Wednesday, but I still have tons of endorphins in me from these 1,5 hours of sharing our handpicked Christmas gems with our amazing audience, which was woowing with us on the chat throughout the whole time. It was our first performance of this kind but for sure not the last!
Christmas Ho-Ho-Holidays MegaMix is full of Christmas-themed songs from all around the world, that weāve both considered the most fun and joyful. You can hear not only the English language there, but also French, Swedish, Polish, a bit of Spanish, and even Chinese. Itās also a mix of many different genres, from soul and funk to rock to end with something dubstep-ish.
Donāt get scared by the first track! We just wanted to start with a bang š„ Itās a techno version of the traditional Ukrainian carol ā”ļøšŗš¦. Perhaps you donāt know that what is more commonly known as āCarol of the Bellsā was originally a Ukrainian folk chant āShchedrykā arranged by Ukrainian composer Mykola Leontovych at the beginning of the 20th century, and popularized in the West by the Ukrainian National Chorus in a 1919 tour.
Enjoy!
Okay, now letās move on to the Weekly Report discoveries section!
Christmas Gems from YouTube
šØ IMPORTANT šØ These songs below arenāt included in the main playlist. I strongly suggest you spend a couple more minutes reading and listening to what I have handpicked for you.
ā¶ļø Universal Robot Band - "Disco Christmas"
Watch out! Itās a truly infectious disco track from the 70ās. When I heard it for the first time last week, it immediately became my number-one Christmas song. Itās extremely vibey and groovy, and I cannot help myself but smile and move my body the whole time when listening to itā¦ ššŖ©šŗ
ā¶ļø C3P0 and R2D2 - "Sleigh Ride"
May the spirit of Christmas be with you! š¤šāØ I stumbled onto this gem this week, and am wondering how I made it this long without hearing it?! I found it adorable with these cute R2D2ās chirps and beep-bee-bee-boop-bee-doo-weeps. And that way C3P0 is blabbing in his one-of-a-kind way - classic! Damn, I think any Star Wars fan will understand the sentimentā¦*
* And hereās something extra for other SW fans - "The Emperor is Coming to Town" by Ben and Hannah Randall
ā¶ļø Hereldeduke - "Dubstep Snowman"
This one here isnāt new to me. In fact, for over 10+ years now, Iāve been coming back to it every Christmas. Back then, when I was all into dubstep, it just blew my mind. Itās a truly nostalgia-inducing song that always guarantees me a trip back to my crazy twenties. IDK, I thought that maybe youāll find it interesting š¤·āāļø
ā¶ļø Billie Eilish - "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas"
Iām absolutely stunned by Billieās voice in this one. Her version of "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas", a crazy popular Christmas song, is impeccable and purely otherworldly. If that doesn't make your jaw drop, I don't know what else willā¦
ā¶ļø Studio Accantus - "KolÄda Dwóch Serc" ("Last Christmas" - Polish version)
Itās the Polish take on one of the most popular Christmas songs - "Last Christmas". These ladies dressed in red are fire! š„ Iām amazed by their powerful, pure vocals and love the swingy, vibey melody, that makes you toe-tapping and head-bopping. I discovered Studio Accantus last year when my Tom got back from London all amazed by SIX the Musical, which I recently wrote about in MC #58 - Divorced, Beheaded, Died, Divorced, Beheaded, Survived š SIX the Musical.
And that would be all for today.
Now, itās time to vote!
Thanks for taking the time to read and listen š«¶. I hope youāre ok, and December is treating you right. Let me know whatās up in your world, if youāre celebrating Christmas or not, or whatās your favorite song right now:
Until next time!
Yours,

It was down to Disco Christmas and Billie Eilish for me. Billie Eilish can be hit or miss for me, but she was fantastic in her rendition of this Christmas classic!
I can't rate Christmas songs on a scale. They all make me feel the Christmas spirit! I'll be streaming your playlist all day. Enjoy the season!
