Wow! What a fantastic deep dive on genres of music that I never knew existed, thanks Stygi! So many of these were fantastic! I could definitely see myself adding some of these artists to my focus music playlists.
As someone who actually listens to medieval music on the regular, I can't believe that I've never even heard of bardcore or tavernwave. Nice work, Stygi! Can't wait to check these out.
This is so cool, I have never heard of bardcore or tavernwave, but I love it. My parents used to painstakingly recreate medieval music on traditional instruments that my father made, like lyres, harps, flutes and psalteries. I love this concept of reconceiving great songs with 'real instruments'. I can see it growing in popularity.
So glad you like it! Damn, your parents' medieval music sessions with handmade instruments sound amazing ๐ถ Yup, agree on it. The real instruments give these songs a serious depth and true vibe. Exciting to see what will happen next with this genre. Got any favorite medieval sounding tracks?
Not yet, but I will be checking it out. I have a cousin in Holland who travels to castle fests around Europe with his friends. I'll see what he has to recommend :)
