I hope this 18th issue of the Midweek Crisis finds you healthy and in a good place. If not, I wish you to get there soon 🙏.

First of all, I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading the “Midweek Crisis”. This past year was truly special to me. In may 2021 I published the very first issue of MC. I’ll never forget all these electrifying feelings, my trembling heart, and the waves of excitement that came with it ✨.

Today I want to share with you a couple of my favorite songs released in 2021, that I haven’t published in any of MC’s previous issues. It’s a crazy mix, that contains a dose of R&B and alternative, a pinch of house, and a handful of rap. You’ll find there both, music from the Cyberpunk 2077 game, and Yebba’s Grammy-award-winning vocals ✨.

*BTW, I’ve just found out that her nickname is just Abbey spelled backwards. Did you know that?

Writing every single issue of the “Midweek Crisis” in 2021 was huge fun to me. I absolutely loved it, when I:

• dug deep for the music that NASA astronauts had been listening to in space, being on the mission 👩‍🚀

• discovered Zamrock music, and totally fell in love with the song “Khala My Friend” by Amanaz 🌍 (according to the Spotify Wrapped it was my most often played song in 2021)

• made a long issue about the history of country music 🤠

• explored synthwave music 🌐

• immersed into the world of the famous painter Zdzisław Beksiński, and got to know the music that inspired him to make his art 🎨
