Amazing returns. My memories go back to my youth. I needed that. I remembered bands such as Iron Butterfly with In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida, King Crimson with Epitaph, Jethro Tull with the Aqalung album and other bands of my youth. Until a tear spins in the eye.

You made me a lot of fun. Keep it up

Oh...and I definitely need to consider alternate streaming services - I am way too reliant on Spotify right now...way too much!

To były czasy🎸🥰

wow wow wow I love everything about this issue!!! A while ago I was too thinking about how vulnerable and dependent we all became with relying on our media diet being available on streaming. I really miss the days when I used to buy new CDs from artists I liked without really knowing more than 1 or 2 tracks on the album in advance, it was always such an exciting surprise playing it for the first time. I also fondly remember choosing 3 or 4 CDs that would be all I would be listening all week while driving my car to and from college, and listen to those on repeat. Nowadays I rarely memorize lyrics anymore, even from artists I love. I wonder if we’ll ever go back to those feelings... And oh, I think my first CD (a gift) was MJ’s Dangerous!

It's kind of scary, right? I use multiple streaming platforms to store my playlists, but in case of possible outages it would be all frozen. Fortunately I have a bunch of original cassettes, CDs and mixtapes stored in a safe space. Also my dad is a huge collector of CDs and vinyls of many genres, so I hope he'd help me in hard times. I'm glad that because of this recent Spotify outage the need of having music in a physical form came back to me. I think this year I'll visit some record-stores 😉.

I absolutely loved the thing you're writing about. The excitement to play the CD for the first time and listen it unravels its mystery was so damn cool.

Whoa, that's awesome start! My first CD that I've bought myself was I think "The Diary Of Alicia Keys" or Shakira's "Laundry Service".

Listening at work right now. I'll have to see if I can find any of my old players anywhere!
